Kathy Chiero brings more than 30 years of real estate experience and a long-standing commitment to educating and guiding Central Ohio homeowners through some of life’s biggest transitions. Licensed since 1996, she has successfully sold more than 1,000 homes and built her career around a simple belief: an educated client is an empowered client.

An award-winning real estate instructor with a background in communications, Kathy has a gift for taking complicated decisions and turning them into clear, manageable steps. In 2012, Kathy founded DownSize Columbus to address those challenges and provide older adults and their families with access to trusted information, professionals, and resources. Mary brings deep Central Ohio roots, hands-on real estate experience, and an exceptional ability to organize even the most complicated details to the Senior DownSizing Specialists division.

Growing up in a family that farmed 1,300 acres in Delaware, Ohio, operated Rolling Acres Quarter Horse Shows and Country Craft Shows, and bought, renovated, and sold homes, Mary learned early the value of hard work, exceptional customer service, and treating people with respect. She and her husband, Tuck, have continued that tradition by purchasing, remodeling, and selling homes of their own—often completing much of the work themselves.

Organization is one of Mary’s greatest strengths. Since 2011, she has served as Stall Manager for the All American Quarter Horse Congress, overseeing the assignment and management of more than 10,000 stalls. Managing an operation of that scale requires patience, attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to keep countless moving pieces on track.
